These pictures were taken at RNAS Yeovilton on September 29 2001 at a reunion open to all ex-Sea Vixen fliers, maintenance crews and partners. There were also some aviation enthusiasts in attendance.

The brakes on signal is being given by the marshaller, although the arms are not raised as high as would have been common with RN personnel. There was another signal to indicate 'wing fold'. This was in the form of holding the arms outstreatched to the side and the bending at the elbows bringing finger tips together to an apex above the head.

Wings folded.

Chocks being placed under the wheels to prevent further movement. Note the ear-defenders worn by the ground crew. The starboard wing-fence, between wing-fold and wing-tip, is clearly visible, as are the pitot probes. The wing fence was suprisingly rigid, despite its thin cross section, due to its internal 'honeycomb' construction. The internal rocket pack bulges are also clearly visible either side of the nose undercarriage.
