These pictures were taken at RNAS Yeovilton on September 29 2001 at a reunion open to all ex-Sea Vixen fliers, maintenance crews and partners. There were also some aviation enthusiasts in attendance.

The staboard internal 14 tube Microcell hinge down rocket launcher can be seen as the slight bulge on the nose underside above the nosewheel. Another launcher was similarly positioned on the port side. Thus a full 2 inch rocket compliment could be, but rarely was as these internal launchers fell into disuse, 2 x 14 + 4 x 36, making a total of 172. The 'fins' of the airbrake can be seen directly below the intake.
As well as fuel, liquid oxygen (LOX) for breathing and luggage the enlarged tail booms contained additional radio equipment.

Dan eases back to as slow as possible for maximum viewing. Once again the frangible hatch is clearly visible along with the small side window which had a blind fitted internally for the observer to darken his cockpit or 'coal hole' in Sea Vixen lingo.
