The Airey Fairey Issue 11 cover (above)includes two pictures, by the author and editor, of hot air balloon G-AVTL Bristol Bell during the course of its launch, piloted by Lt. Terry Adams of 849 Squadron B Flight, from the flight deck of HMS Ark Royal (Captain Raymond Lygo) whilst off the south coast of Malta on 29th November 1970.

The lower picture on the rear cover is of an embroidered memorial cloth sewn by Peter Roalf of Essex Branch FAAA, this picture was supplied by, and reproduced by courtesy of, Duncan Cubit and FlyPast magazine.
